Our extensive personal experience of working on location has given us a reputation for knowing what is required even before the need arises. This has led to our involvement in other projects such as expeditions to Mt Everest or Antarctica, and climbing expeditions in Russia.
When Cecilie Skog´s expedition reached the summit of Mt Everest on May 23 2004, it was yet another success for Ground Control's crew.
Rune Gjeldnes, who crossed unsupported from Russia to Canada via the North Pole, is currently working closely with Ground Control to prepare for his next expedition, "the longest march". He plans to cross Antarctica, setting a new distance record and becoming the first man ever to cross both poles.
Ground Control also provides access and safety services to media crews needing to get to difficult locations.
